Summary

This article deals with evangelicalism in Poland. Evangelicalism is here represented by Mennonites, Baptists, Gospel Christians, Plymouth Brethren, Pentecostal Christians and Disciples of Christ. Mennonites appeared in Poland about 1550. The histor y of Baptists be-gan about the year 1850. Other groups began at the beginning of the 20th century. All these communities co-operated because their religion was generally similar. Until the Second World War these communities consisted of national minorities. After World War II, they generally consisted of Poles. There are about 30,000 faithful in the Evangelical denomina-tions now.
