Summary

The article discusses the journey of Gilbert de Lannoy through the land of the Prussians in the years 1413–1414. Gilbert, a Burgundian knight, went to the State of the Teutonic Order to take part in a military expedition against the King of Poland and the Grand Duke of Lith-uania. Before that, Gilbert had visited major Prussian towns and made notes. The account was included in some kind of diary from a journey to Central and Eastern Europe. The article is based on a part of report from Prussia, where the Burgundian described particular towns, distance between them, customs and local legends.
