W Kościele katolickim w okresie międzywojennym działało wiele organizacji religijnych. Jednym z najliczniejszych był III Zakon św. Franciszka. W diecezji sandomierskiej III Zakon funkcjonował w prawie 78% parafii, sytuowało to diecezję w gronie liderów w skali całego kraju. W dekanacie radoszyckim tercjarstwo istniało we wszystkich parafiach dekanatu. Tercjarstwo dzieliło się na gałąź męska i żeńską. Liczniejsze były koła żeńskie. Kobiety stanowiły około 90% wszystkich członków tercjarstwa w dekanacie. Do III Zakonu należeli głównie mężczyźni żonaci i zamężne kobiety rekrutujące się głównie ze środowiska chłopskiego. Działalność III Zakonu w założeniu miała wspierać życie religijne w dekanacie. W praktyce mimo dużej liczebności tercjarze nie zawsze w pełni wypełniali swój charyzmat.
Many religious organizations were active in the Catholic Church in the interwar period. One of the most numerous was the Third Order of St. Francis. In the diocese of Sandomierz, the Third Order functioned almost in 78% of parishes, which placed the diocese among the leaders in the whole country. In the deanery of Radoszyce, tertiary education existed in all parishes of the deanery. The tertiary was divided into male and female. The female circles were more numerous. Women accounted for about 90% of all members of the tertiary in the deanery. The Third Order consisted mostly of married men and women recruited mainly from the peasant milieu. The activity of the Third Order was supposed to support religious life in the deanery. In practice, despite the large number of tertiaries, they did not always completely fulfill their charism.
